The Florida Gators football team will play their first football game in January of 2022.

Ed Zurga was a teacher.

The younger brother of the Jacksonville running back will be next year.

During Saturday's Army All-American Bowl game, the man known as the "Florist" announced his commitment to the Florida Gators. LSU and his older brother's alma mater, Clemson, were not the only schools that Etienne chose to attend.

"It's something new, and I didn't want to follow in his footsteps," Etienne told Steve. I can see myself for the next three to four years of my life, because it's something new I get to experience.

The No. 15 running back in the country is a 5'9", 218-pound speedster named Etienne. He ran for 2,455 yards and 34 touchdown in high school.

Billy Napier was a major factor in the decision that Etienne made. He was a silent commit to Florida but felt uncertain when Dan Mullen was fired. It was a good fit for him because he was a fan of the coaching staff at the University of Louisiana.

"I was worried about who they were going to get," Etienne said. I was excited when they said that it was Coach Napier, because I want to be coached by him. I text him when he gets the job. He was excited.

In the SEC East, Florida finished sixth. He wants to be a part of restoring the Gators to prominence.

He said that he liked what Coach Napier was doing and his vision for the program. I want to be a part of helping them become a better place.
