A devastating fire that tore through a 19-story apartment building in the Bronx, killing at least 19 people, including nine children, is believed to be one of the worst fires in the city.

According to the Daily News, Mayor Eric Adams said that the fire is going to be one of the worst he has seen in New York.

A five-alarm fire broke out at a residential building in the Fordham Heights neighborhood.

The fire has been put out according to ABC News.

The cause of the fire was not known.
