A Tennessee Planned Parenthood that was destroyed after a fire was intentionally set ablaze, authorities determined

The mayor of Tennessee's largest city said on Saturday that she was "appalled" by the fire that destroyed the city's abortion provider.
I am appalled at the destruction of the clinic. Mayor Indya Kincannon said on Saturday that the criminal act was a serious threat to the public safety of the city.
The New York Times reported that investigators determined that the building was set on fire. According to NPR, the fire was determined to be an act of sabotage by the ATF and the fire department.

"This is an appalling and heartbreaking act of violence towards our patients and our community," said Coffield.

The building was destroyed in a fire on December 31, 2011. The building was empty in both incidents.
We have mourned at this health center before. We are thankful for the hard work and determination of the ATF and the Fire Department to find the cause of the fire and bring the person or persons responsible to justice.

Kincannon said there was a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the prosecution of anyone involved in the fire.
Kincannon said he appreciated the efforts of the fire department for putting out the fire and working with federal partners to investigate the crime.
