American Airlines is extending first class pajamas to all of its passengers, because of their focus on sustainable practices.
The new pajamas are made of plastic bottles.
New pajamas for international first class passengers will be introduced by American Airlines on January 10, 2022.
I have never heard of this company, which designed these.
The pajamas are made of recycled plastic bottles and blended with cotton to deliver soft, sustainable pajamas.
The program will result in daily saving of 4,822 bottles from the landfill.
The new slippers will be wrapped in recycled paper.
American's current first class pajamas.
I am kind of curious. Alaska Airlines serving boxed water, Virgin Atlantic having fully recycled amenity kits, and American Airlines serving meat and cheese not fit for human consumption are just some of the different sustainable measures airlines have taken. But clothing made from recycled plastic bottles? I don't think we've seen that from an airline before.
Virgin Atlantic has recycled kits.
I am curious if the new pajamas are as good as the old ones or if they are a downgrade in the name of sustainable living. If the latter is the case, I think this doesn't do a lot to help the environment at all, because people are unlikely to reuse them if they're low quality.
I have yet to figure out what that means, even after having picked up several pairs of pajamas.
January 8, 2022.
American has a new scent called Big sur after rain.
American Airlines will introduce a new scent spray and aircraft soap on January 10, 2022. American has an aircraft scent spray. The new scent will be called Big Sur After Rain, and it will be similar to the D.S. and Durga scent featured in lounges and amenity kits. The scent is described as having:
There are notes of coastal rain.
The magnolia and Pacific spray have strong notes.
The notes of wet wood and wet leaf are base.
I will pick up all of those on my next flight.
Since when does American have an aircraft scent spray, have I been living under a rock? Is this sprayed in the cabins, or is it just something they use in place of coffee grounds after someone abuses the bathroom?
The bottom line.
The new first class pajamas will be made from recycled bottles. I wonder if the old ones are as comfortable as the new ones. Awesome if so. I don't think single use pajamas are sustainable.
Is anyone aware of how American's new pajamas will look?
