The organization offered him just$15 an hour to return as an assistant offensive line coach.

During his 13-year stay with the Bears from 1998 to 2010, he earned six Pro Bowl selections and was named to the All-Decade Team for the 2000s. He retired midway through the New Orleans Saints season.

The Bears' offensive line coach, Harry Hiestand, reached out to the Hawai'i native to join the coaching staff, he said on 670 The Score.
