Another New York athlete has apologized for making a gesture.
The New York Knicks forward apologized for his postgame comments and said he should have handled things differently after giving the crowd at Madison Square Garden a thumbs down after he made a bucket late in the fourth quarter of Thursday's win over the Boston Celtics.

They apologized for the situation.
With the Knicks off to a disappointing start this season, frustration has been mounting as the team tries to find answers to make a move in the Eastern Conference.
After Wednesday's practice, he spoke about the criticism that has surrounded him and the team.

The Celtics led by as many as 25 points in the first half, but the Knicks came back in the second half. The game was tied at 105 before New York's RJBarrett hit the three-pointer.
Expectations were high for the Knicks coming into the campaign. He led the team to a 41-31 record and the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference after his first All-Star appearance.
New York is currently in 10th place in the East with a 19-20 record. He's only shooting 42.2 percent from the field in 37 starts, but he's still averaging 18.6 points, 10.1 rebound and 4.9 assists per game.
