If you don't want to see someone's tweets, you should block them. It's your social media feed, so why should you be friendly with people who annoy you?
When you block someone, you don't have to send a notification to them, but it can be annoying if you think someone else has blocked you.
There's a way to see if someone has blocked you on the micro-blogging site. Here's how.
Being blocked is like being put in a digital penalty box. If you press an extra button, the person you block will not be able to see your tweets. You can't tag them in photos, they won't appear in your search results, and more.
How to tell if someone is blocking you on social media.
There's no list that shows you the names of people that have blocked you on social media. You need to investigate account by account to find out if you're being blocked.
1. You can use the search box on your computer or phone to find the account that might be blocking you. They might not show up even if you search for their name.
2. If you're being blocked, you won't be able to see their tweets. You can't follow the blocker's Tweets.

How to see how many people are blocking you.
The method uses an app called blolook that connects to your account on the micro-blogging site to see how many blocks you've received. It will tell you how many accounts are blocking you, but it won't say who has been blocked.
1. Go to the blolook website on your phone or computer, and then log in with your account on the social networking site.
2. The app should be authorized so it can connect to your account. You might need to log in again.
3. You can scroll to the Your account box once authorized. You can see the number of blocked accounts by looking next to Accounts blocking you. You will see how many of the blocks are Mutual, meaning that you've both blocked each other.
How many blocks you have received can be shared.
