LaVar Arrington is known for "The LaVar Leap," where he jumped over the Illinois offensive line to stop a running play. Arrington was put in the 1999 Heisman Trophy discussion after landing on magazine covers.

He was the second overall pick of the Washington Football Team in the 2000 draft, and he was put on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame. On Thursday morning, Arrington jumped off the ground.

The two-time All-American and 1999 Butkus and Bednarik Award winner received a football from the National Football Foundation that was given to him in recognition of becoming a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in this honor.

It is a great honor. According to the College Football Hall of Fame, only a small number of players have been inducted. Arrington is likely to be one of them. If he wasn't being induct this year, why go to the lengths of printing a football for him?

He apologized in a follow-up message, saying that he missed the small print and that he wasn't supposed to share the news just yet.

I messed that one up. I'm sorry," Arrington said in the video.

When excitement of the moment goes wrong.
