Apple CEO Tim Cook earned almost $100 million in 2021 — a 550% increase on the previous year

According to a company filing, Apple CEO Tim Cook received a compensation package of $98.7 million in 2021.

Cook's pay package in 2020 was 15 million dollars, but it was 558% larger in 2021.

Cook's stock awards are due to vest next year, which is why most of his compensation was in stock. Cook was awarded $82 million in stock awards. Even if Cook retires, they will keep their vested rights.

Cook was given a $12 million incentive based on Apple's financial performance. His salary is $3 million.

$630,630 in security expenses and $712,488 in personal air travel for Cook were included in the $98.7 million pay package.

Cook has been at Apple for a decade. He had to contend with increasing employee unrest, with some Apple Store employees staging a walk out to demand better working conditions on Christmas Eve.
