The success of the "Manning Cast" for Monday Night Football has led to a similar simulcast for Sunday Night Baseball that will feature Alex Rodriguez and Michael Kay.

The news of Kay joining the broadcast was reported by The Action Network'sDarren Rovell. Rodriguez will no longer be on Sunday Night Baseball as a result of this new pair.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the new Sunday Night Baseball broadcast team will feature David Cone and Eduardo Perez as analysts and Karl Ravech as the play-by-play man. Cone is expected to have a reduced schedule for YES this season. Kay will continue to be the voice of the Yankees.

Marchand noted that the reporter's role on Sunday Night Baseball is in question. He mentioned Marly Rivera as a candidate to replace him, but also said that the network may use a committee approach.

Rodriguez preferred Kay over Ravech for his partner for the new simulcast, according to reports. He didn't want to work the weekly broadcast with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It is expected that the "Kay-Rod" broadcast will have similar elements to "Manning Cast" such as special guest interviews. The games will be on Sunday Night Baseball's 25-week schedule.
