Amazon is making a TV series based on the video games. The official account for the project, the Fallout, confirmed the story that the two showrunners will be Robertson-Dworet and Wagner.

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are the creators of Westworld. Todd Howard is an executive producer at the game studio. According to Variety, Nolan will direct the first episode.

The show was announced in July. Joy and Nolan said in a statement thatFallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter has cost us a lot of time with our family and friends. We are very excited to work with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant people at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.

The post-war US post-war imagery is inspiration for the video games. The rights to the series were acquired by the company in 2004. The most recent mainline game was released in 2015. Due to Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda, future games in the series will likely be exclusive to PC and Xbox platforms.
