The New York Knicks seem to be following in the footsteps of the Mets.

After the Knicks' victory over the Celtics on Thursday, Julius Randle was asked if he made a gesture toward the crowd.

He didn't specify what led him to make the gesture, but he explained that he was indicating "shut the f--k up".

FredKatz replied to Fred Katz.

The cameras caught you giving thumbs down. What did you mean by Shut the fuck up? To who? He asked who it was in response to something.

You saw that. You saw what was happening.

The home crowd booed the Knicks when they were down by 25 points. The fans were not happy with the first half performance and the gesture was made in the fourth quarter.

Javy Baez made a gesture to fans at Citi Field and told reporters it was his way of booing them back for expressing their displeasure with the team's struggles.

The Knicks and their home crowd had a lot to celebrate after Thursday night's comeback victory.
