According to the Hollywood Reporter, more than 50 crew members tested positive for the virus on the first day of production after the holiday break, including Zone A, which represents cast and those that interact closely with them.

The source wouldn't say how many crew members were affected, but said filming is expected to start again next week.

The filming of the show was stopped this week after a cast member or crew mate tested positive for the virus.
The number of new Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles County on Thursday was the highest since the beginning of the Pandemic.

Many shows and films have had to stop filming due to the coronaviruses, including Westworld and American Horror Story, which halted shoots in late July. Some shows have decided to push back the start date due to Covid-19 concerns. A crew member for 9-1-1 told the Los Angeles Times that it is cheaper to delay shoots than to pause in the middle of production. Some studios have put in place vaccination requirements for certain crew members, as well as adopting practices like separating crew members into zones for contact tracing.

The production of Star Trek: Picard was paused after more than 50 test positive.
