The $105,000 RST First Edition of the Chevrolet Silverado EV has sold out. All of the vehicles were snapped up in just 12 minutes.

The work truck variant is expected to be available in the spring of 2023, and the RST First Edition is expected to be available in the fall of that year. The regular RST starts at $39,900, but won't arrive until summer 2024.

It's not clear how many RST First Edition Silverados were available for pre-order, but the swift sell out isn't surprising given the popularity of the combustion engine. There's clearly a desire for electric pickup trucks. Ford had to stop reservations of the F-150 due to overwhelming demand, and this week the company announced plans to double its production capacity to 150,000 vehicles per year.
