Danny Rose: Watford full-back set to leave in January transfer window with Hornets close to signing Udinese defender Samir

Danny Rose was told he wouldn't play for the club again after just a short stint.

Rose only signed a two-year deal with the club last June, but they have made him available for transfer this month.

The full-back earned 29 caps for England after being called on by Ranieri to return to his best form.

Danny was a member of the England national team and Ranieri needed this Danny.

I think it's more fitness than a confidence issue. He has improved a lot but he needs to work on his fitness. It is difficult to say how long that will take.

Rose made nine appearances for the Hornets this season, but he has not been recalled to the side since returning from his one-match suspension.

He will be available for transfer this window after he was not called up for the FA Cup third round match against Leicester.

The defender is interested in the team.

The Udinese centre-back is close to signing with the Hornets.

The Brazilian is set to join the club on a three-year deal with the option of a further year after visiting the training ground earlier this week.

KAS Eupen have been linked with a move for Edo Kayembe, while Besiktas have been linked with a move for Domagoj Vida.
