Covid in Hong Kong: Here’s a list of everything that will be shut down starting tomorrow



There are transparent barriers on tables at a restaurant in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong will be banning most public activities from Friday.

The city will be re-imposing strict Covid-19 measures for two weeks as it braces for the spread of the highly infectious omicron variant. They will be reviewed in a week.

Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced a slew of stringent measures on Wednesday in order to contain the outbreak as early as possible.

Incoming flights from eight countries will be banned from Saturday to January 21. Australia, Canada, France, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States are included.

There were 38 new coronaviruses cases in Hong Kong on Wednesday, and there have been over 12,000 confirmed cases so far.

According to government data, 74.3% of the total population has received two doses of a vaccine.
A ban on eating in restaurants after 6 p.m. is one of the new social distancing rules.

The mass cycling event, Cyclothon, and entertainment facilities such as Hong Kong Disneyland, cruise ship tours and nightclubs are being canceled for 14 days starting Friday.

From January 7th, everything will be closed.

Restaurants must stop serving dine-in services from 6PM to 4.59PM the following day.
Bars and pubs will be closed.
There is no dancing or live performance allowed in the premises. There should be a suspension of Karaoke or mahjong-tin kau activity.
Theme parks, museums, party rooms, karaoke rooms, game centers, Chinese-style gambling establishments, event and performance venues and cinemas will be closed.
Beauty parlors and bathhouses will also be closed.
Cruises-to-nowhere and all local tours are suspended.
Hospital and nursing home visits stopped.
