Brown said that he felt like he couldn't return to the game because of his ankle injury and that he was cut on the spot.

I didn't quit. I was cut. I was still with my brothers. Brown's statement read that he was thrown out.

Brown claimed that the organization was involved in a cover-up regarding his ankle injury.

They are acting like I wasn't cut and now demanding that I see a doctor of their choice to examine my ankle, as part of their ongoing cover-up. They did not know that I had an urgent magnetic resonance on my ankle on Monday.

According to Brown, the scans showed broken bone fragments in my ankle, torn ligaments from the bone, and lost cartilage. He said he will have surgery and scheduled it.

Pundits speculated on the reasons behind Brown's actions on Sunday. Many wondered if his injury was valid or if mental health was an issue.

The things that were being said about his client were dispelled by Burstyn in a lengthy thread.

Antonio Brown never faked an injury. People are pushing false rumors that the ankle injury that happened Sunday was caused by mental health issues. Mental health is important, but so is basic dignity.

Brown expects to recover from his ankle surgery in time for next season, and he intends to continue his career in the NFL.

He wrote that once his surgery is complete, he will be back to full strength. "Business will be booming!"
