NFL explores contingency sites for Super Bowl LVI amid COVID-19 spike

In the midst of a rise in COVID-19 cases, the NFL has looked into other potential sites for the Super Bowl.

The league does that every year. With Los Angeles the site for this year's title game and restrictions increasing for attendance at indoor events, it has become more noteworthy.

The Super Bowl will be played in Los Angeles on February 13th, according to Brian McCarthy. We have contacted several clubs to inquire about stadium availability in the event we cannot play the Super Bowl as scheduled due to weather-related issues or unforeseen circumstances.

The planning process for the Super Bowl in Los Angeles is ahead of schedule and we are looking forward to hosting the game there.

The home of the Dallas Cowboys is said to be one of the facilities that was contacted. The Rose Bowl was switched from Pasadena to the stadium because of the COVID-19 restrictions.

TheGrammy Awards were put on hold. They were going to be in Los Angeles on January 31. Health and safety concerns were cited by organizers.

The Super Bowl is in February.
