Kevin Owns made his Raw debut, assisting the Street Profits in the main event.
WWE Raw aired a show filled with matched designed to showcase upcoming talent as Raw further cemented its place as the B-Show. Up against a non-competitive game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, Raw's lackluster show just may be the first pro wrestling flagship in October to see a week-to-week increase in viewership.
WWE Raw's viewership continued to decline on Night 2 of the WWE Draft with 2.287 million viewers.
WWE Total YouTube Viewership for WWE Raw this past Monday: 13,344,910 views (up from 9,469,918)
Average WWE Raw Ticket Price at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse: $69
Estimated Live Gate for WWE Raw: $448,224
WWE Raw Results: Monday, October 21, 2019 Drew McIntyre (with Ric Flair) def. RicochetNothing excites WWE's middle-aged fanbase more than any hint of a push for Drew McIntyre.
Either WWE is beginning to get cold feet on Ricochet, it needs to get Drew McIntyre heated back up or all of the above.
Ric Flair is a whole entire mood tonight. There will be endless tweets demanding Flair manage McIntyre, and they'e all correct.
Aleister Black def. Jason ReynoldsCan you imagine the Monday Night Football commentators laughing about not knowing anything about the New York Jets because they don't have a chance against the Patriots?
If nothing else, Jason Reynolds takes one heck of a Black Mass.
Rusev appears on King's Court with Jerry LawlerWWE has the wrong Jerry moderating this segment between Rusev and Lana. Jerry Springer is the right Jerry.
So how, exactly, is WWE going to show the video package of what led up to Rusev's match with Bobby Lashley when they go to Saudi Arabia?
Rusev was in peak IDGAF mode tonight. At one point, he casually shut down a "what" chant by saying "come on, he's a Hall of Famer."
Rusev and Lana are in a blood feud over Lana that is building up to a grudge match in a city where she isn't even legally allowed to be anywhere near the ring. I guarantee you WWE didn't even consider that.
Andrade def. Sin CaraIt feels like every three months WWE restarts Andrade's push and poor Sin Cara is always on the receiving end of his first meaningless win as part of a renewed push.
This felt like the longest squash match ever.
As has been the case for much of Andrade's main roster career, Zelina Vega was the star of this match.
The War Raiders def. Zack Ryder and Curt HawkinsZack Ryder wondered on camera whether or not he and Curt Hawkins would get pyro. They did not get pyro. Way to bury yourself, kid.
I've never seen so many largely non-competitive matches in the first two hours of Raw.
Rey Mystrio Addresses Cain Velasquez vs. Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown JewelRey Mysterio is threatening Joe DiMaggio's consecutive hit streak with all these great promos.
As soon as Paul Heyman said "Brock Lesnar, live in Cleveland," these fans immediately knew there's no way the SmackDown star was showing up.
Shelton Benjamin was great in this segment.
Seth Rollins def. Humberto CarrilloHow does Humberto Carrillo have the best theme song in all of WWE?!
It might be a one-night thing but Seth Rollins was acting like a heel both in and out of the ring tonight. That's the direction this character has to go, especially if he's going to beat The Fiend at Crown Jewel.
WWE Raw's depth issues are painfully obvious. I thought this was going to be the B-Show, but I think I was one letter off.
The Street Profits def. The O.C.Considering the lack of start power in this main event, The Street Profits really connected with this crowd.
