Nike sues Lululemon for patent infringement over at-home Mirror gym and fitness apps

Nike filed a lawsuit against Lululemon on Wednesday, accusing them of patent violation over their at- home fitness device.

In 1983, Nike filed a patent application for a device for determining.
A runner has speed, distance, elapsed time and calories spent. It launched a range of popular mobile apps, including Nike Run Club and Nike Training Club.

The company said that it holds a number of other fitness equipment patents that are being used by the company, and that it has a patent on the mirror.

A rush among consumers to workout at home during the Covid epidemic led to the acquisition of the mirror by the yoga company in 2020. The device puts competitors in competition.

Nike said that it notified the leggings maker of the alleged violation before filing the lawsuit. The suit was filed in Manhattan federal court.

The patents in question are not valid, according to a statement from a spokesman for Lululemon. We look forward to defending our position in court.

The shares closed down 4.8%. Nike shares fell 2.5%.

There is a legal battle going on with Peloton. In late November, it filed a patent lawsuit against the connected fitness company, in a feud over the designs of its sports bras and leggings.

A court was asked to make a declaration that it had not violated any of the patents of Lululemon. The company has maintained that it is easy to understand its own athletic apparel. Damages and other monetary relief are what Lululemon is asking for.
