According to league sources, Joe Mixon will not play in Sunday's game against Cleveland because he tested positive for carbon dioxide.

Sources said that Mixon's test result came back Wednesday and that he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Four of the five starting players were placed on the list Tuesday.

The running back is second in the league with 1,206 rushing yards on 292 attempts, an average of 4.1 yards per carry, with 13 touchdown, which is fourth. He has caught 42 passes for 314 yards and 3 touchdown passes.

He became the third first-time Pro Bowl selection this season, joining Ja'Marr Chase and John Hendrickson. On Sunday, the Bengals secured their first playoff spot in three years.

The playoffs seedings are currently being worked out, and the Bengals are currently in the third spot. They have two scenarios where they can win the title, with one requiring a victory against the Browns and the other a loss by the Chiefs. The Bills would need to beat the Jets or the Pats to lose against Miami.
