The Las Vegas Raiders interim head coach is being considered to take over the coaching staff on a full-time basis in 2022.

According to Jeremy Fowler, who works for the sports network, Bisaccia is in the mix for the Raiders' final regular-season game on Sunday.

Las Vegas has a 5-5 record since the departure of Jon Gruden after it was revealed he sent racist, misogynistic and anti-gay emails.

A win over the Bolts will give the Raiders a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Before he got his first chance to lead a staff, Bisaccia was the head coach at Wayne State for nearly four decades.

He spent most of his time as a special teams coach, including with the Raiders before he was promoted to interim head coach. He won the Super Bowl XXXVII title with the Bucs.

When head coaching opportunities became available before he joined the front office, Raiders general manager Mike Mayock said he had spent years putting in a good word for Bisaccia.

Mayock said that he has ever been around a leader like Rich Bisaccia. I'm going to support this son of a gun.

If Sunday's result is any indication, Bisaccia's status could change.

If he leads the Raiders to a win over the Bolts, it would be hard for the front office to change their direction. A loss is likely to lead to a more extensive coaching search.

Las Vegas is riding a three-game winning streak and is playing its best football of the season, so it will be the favorite against Herbert and Co.
