GOP Group Calls Out Trump’s Enablers In Congress By Name In Scathing Fox News Ad

The GOP group called out Trump's congressional allies in a Fox News ad.

A conservative group is accusing GOP lawmakers of not holding Donald Trump accountable for the assault on the U.S. Capitol.

Five lawmakers who were critical of Trump last year have either changed their tune or remained silent in the new ad, which will air on Fox News on the anniversary of the attack.

They told the truth. The text on the screen reads, "Why won't they now?" after clips of comments by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell, and Sen. Ted Cruz.

The Republican Accountability Project is on January 5, 2022.

The spot will run on Fox & Friends, "Hannity" and "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Thursday.

The Republican Accountability Project has been running ads targeting members of the party who enabled Trump, and has created an online "Hall of Shame" of 13 lawmakers who "actively invented and disseminated lies, misinformation and conspiracy theories."

The group wants to support primary challengers.
