The headset is going to be called PS4 and it has been confirmed by Sony. The PS5 logo was first revealed on stage in Vegas two years ago, when the name was announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan. It looked like the PS3 and PS4 logos.
We know a lot about the technical specifications of the headset, but Sony hasn't shown it off. The PS5 will work with the PSVR2 and Sony also detailed the Sense controllers all the way back in March. The headset supports a field of view of over 100 degrees, and it connects to the PS5 with a single cable.
Ryan announced a new title for PSVR2: Call of the Mountain. It will follow next month's Horizon Forbidden West, one of Sony's tentpole releases for 2022, though there is no indication of a release date for either the game or the headset just yet. A brief trailer is available.
