Utah Jazz guard/forward Joe Ingles has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Ingles is a member of the Jazz and is averaging 7.6 points and 3.6 assists per game. He has played in 36 games.

The Jazz were the only NBA team that did not put a player in the protocols this season until Ingles did.

The Jazz general manager told reporters in late September that the entire team was vaccine free.

If a player gets two negative COVID-19 test results at the same time, they can bevaccinated.

If COVID-19 testing shows they're no longer at risk to be infectious, vaccinated players can leave the room after six days.

Ingles is at risk of missing the team's upcoming road trip, which will run from Wednesday through Monday. The Utah Jazz will play the Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.

The Jazz will play two games on the road in January.

Utah has gone 15-3 in its last 18 games. The Jazz had winning streaks of eight and six games.

The Jazz will rely more on Rudy Gay and Jordan Clarkson off the bench without Ingles. Trent Forrest could see more time.
