Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts asked the Washington Football Team and the National Football League to look into the collapse of a portion of the railing at FedEx Field.
Hurts wrote a letter to the league and Washington to inquire about what follow-up action was being considered in response to the near-tragic incident that occurred after Sunday's game.

Several fans fell to the ground when the railing on one side of the tunnel collapsed, as Hurts walked to the locker room.

The railing was close to falling on Hurts.
I'm happy everyone is safe. Hurts told reporters after the game that it was crazy. That was a very dangerous situation. It seemed like everybody bounced back from it. Eagles fans are passionate. I love it.

Washington said that everyone involved was offered a medical evaluation and left the stadium of their own accord. The safety of our fans and guests is of paramount importance and we are looking into what happened.

Four people who fell disagreed with Washington's statement about offering medical assistance.

Andrew Collins of New Jersey said that they didn't ask if anyone needed medical attention. The staff told us to get the F off the field.

The league is reviewing the matter with the club to understand what happened and to make sure it doesn't happen again, according to Brian McCarthy.

After missing the playoffs last year, the Eagles have secured a playoff spot.
