It is fun to set travel goals and keep a list of places you would like to visit sooner rather than later. I shared some of the points hotels I am hoping to eventually stay at, and in this post I wanted to share the destinations I am most hoping to visit.
I hope to visit some of the travel destinations.
Before I share my list of top travel destinations, I want to note a few things.
I am not suggesting that the below are the most interesting places I have never been to, but I am suggesting that they are places that interest me and that I would like to visit.
Most of the places on the list are countries I haven't been to, but in some cases they'll be regions or territories of countries I've already visited.
In most cases there is an airline or hotel angle, so there are interesting airlines to try and hotels to stay at.
I am trying to keep a list of places that are realistic to visit in the near future, but I am leaving off places that will take a lot of effort.
Below are some places that I would most like to visit, in no particular order.
The country of Kyrgyzstan.
In the last few years, I have traveled to several countries, and had an amazing time. There is something very enjoyable about visiting a place that you don't expect much. I think that Kyrgyzstan is next on that list.
There is a Hyatt Regency in the city. Turkish Airlines no longer operates a fifth freedom flight from Bishkek to Ulaanbaatar.
The country of Namibia.
Ford and I were supposed to go to Namibia in April 2020, but that was canceled due to the swine flu. I am still hoping to go to Namibia someday, as it has so much to offer.
And beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge.
There is a country called Greenland.
I have been on my travel bucket list for a long time. Air Greenland has an A330 in its fleet, which it flies between the two countries. The summer of 2020 was ruined by the Pandemic. With the uncertainty surrounding the Pandemic, I think I should wait a bit longer on this trip.
I have only flown over the north.
There is a country called the Faroe Islands.
I like nature destinations and have heard good things about the Faroe Islands. I am hoping to visit this summer because it is accessible from many points in Europe and there is a points hotel there.
Canada's northern latitudes.
The Canadian Arctic is accessible by air, and I think it has beautiful scenery. I would love to visit in the summer. I could knock out two destinations with one easy trip if Canadian North launched that flight.
I only flew over Canada.
The country of Peru.
I have never been to Peru, but I connected at the airport. I think it is time to visit some places.
Albania.
Albania interests me the most, I haven't been to it. The country is surrounded by other countries that I love, and I have heard good things from people who have visited. Albanians around the world are friendly. I would love to learn tips for what is a must-see beyond Tirana.
There is a country called Guatemala.
It is easy to get to, beautiful, and has some great points hotels I could review, and flights there are typically cheap. I hope to do this as a weekend trip once the surge slows down.
The island of Bermuda.
I don't think I've ever talked to someone who said they preferred to go to Bermuda. It is a place that has been on my list for a long time, I love the "Bermuda Triangle" intrigue, and now there is a St. Regis there, which is an awesome points option to have.
There is a St. Regis in the island.
New islands in Greece.
I have been to Greece several times and it is one of my favorite countries. I want to go somewhere new after visiting the same islands. Milos, Antiparos, and Corfu are the places that interest me the most. Please let me know if there are any other islands that should be on my list.
The White Coast Pool Suites are in Milos, Greece.
Outside of Muscat, there is a sultan.
I haven't explored the country outside of Muscat, and I know I'm missing out. I really want to check out the coastline and mountains of Oman. We can redeem points at two Alila properties in Oman.
Alila is in the mountains of Oman.
The bottom line.
It is fun to keep a list of the places you most want to visit, and the above is a list of the places that are front-of-mind for me when planning travel. I think this list should keep me busy since I have been wanting to check out a few places.
I would be happy to receive tips or experiences with any of these destinations. I would love to hear what destinations OMAAT readers have on their lists.
