UAE to ban its citizens from leaving the country unless they have booster vaccine

citizens are not allowed to travel without a booster vaccine

The citizens of the United Arab Emirates will not be allowed to leave the country unless they have received a booster shot against the coronaviruses.

The policy will not apply to those who are medically exempt from receiving the vaccine.

The official handle of NCEMA said that a ban on travel to the United Arab Emirates for unvaccinated citizens would start on Jan 10, 2022.

It concluded with an exemption for medically exempting from taking the vaccine.

The measure will not affect the country's large population of expatriates.

More than 85% of the population in the United States have been fully protected against Covid-19, while 34% have received the booster jab.

The Omicron variant has been spreading rapidly in Europe and the US, and studies have found that a booster shot offers better protection.

The number of new coronavirus cases in the United Arab Emirates has risen sharply in the last few days, from 55 daily at the beginning of December to more than 2,250 as of Sunday.
