Antonio Brown is still a member of the team.

The wide receiver was not released by the defending champion, but they are still holding discussions with the NFL about how to move forward in this situation.

Mark Maske of the Washington Post reported that there was no consideration of league-imposed discipline against Brown.

Brown left Sunday's game against the New York Jets in the third quarter, after Bruce Arians told reporters he was no longer a Buc.

Brown took off his jersey and walked off the field while the game was going on.

Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that there was a disagreement between Brown and the coaching staff about whether he was healthy enough to play.

Rapoport said that he was not going into the game because he didn't feel good. The offensive coaches told the players that if they weren't going into the game, they wouldn't be here. They cut him from the team at that point.

Brown never said his ankle was injured and instead left the field after a different conversation, according to the reports.

Brown was suspended for three games for having a fake COVID-19 vaccination card.

Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk wrote that it's possible that the team would prefer that Brown be suspended, rather than released.

Other teams in the league would have a chance to claim him if he were released and placed on waivers. If nobody claims him, he could become an unrestricted free agent and possibly be a potential opponent for the Buccaneers in the playoffs.

Tom Brady's touchdown pass to Cyril Grayson in the final seconds was the difference in the game. The team will be fighting for seeding in Week 18 against the Carolina Panthers.
