Play.

This isn't a clown show organization, says Joe Judge.

The New York Giants coach gave a lengthy answer after the team's 29-3 loss to the Chicago Bears. He's doubling down.

Judge viewed it as a "dose of truth", whether people wanted to believe it or not.

Any regrets?

"No," Judge said on the conference call. I responded to the specific question that was posed to me. I give direct answers to people's questions. The person listening is going to get the truth. I was giving an honest answer to the fans. The question was about that. The response can apply to a lot of different areas.

The locker room has been fumigated, and a group of players that are out of the playoffs are working hard despite that. There were also claims of former players calling to tell Judge they missed the Giants.

When pressed, the judge refused to specify names. He said the Giants were a good place to go.

He said that players want to play here. A lot of players will want to play there for a long time.

The Giants are a well-coached team according to Judge. He was asked if he still thought so after a fifth consecutive loss.

He responded confidently after taking a few seconds to digest the question.

I would. He said he would. There are some things we need to do better. I'm not going to hide behind anything. I'm not going to say we're perfect. There are a lot of things. I've seen a lot of improvement from our players. Sometimes not all that is magnified. I look at the things that show up with our team. I'm very confident that we're pushing forward. There are things we need to improve on.

Winning is the most important thing in this league. We have to do a better job of putting ourselves in a position to win.

Judge's postgame rant attracted a lot of criticism and skepticism. It was a topic of discussion on radio and television.

The two players made available on the Giants' call Monday, running back Devontae Booker and left tackle Andrew Thomas, both said they did not hear Judge's comments. Booker admitted that some guys were talking about it in the locker room.

A Giants player told the sports network that there is a group of players who appreciate Judge not quitting on it. The players will not quit on him.

The Giants will finish the season against the Washington Football Team at a likely angry MetLife Stadium, and they'll be without quarterback Mike Glennon. Glennon will have surgery on his wrist and will join Daniel Jones on the injured list.

Jake Fromm is likely to start for the second time. He threw for 25 yards against the Eagles two weeks ago.

It was still better than this Sunday when the Giants finished with a minus 10 net passing yards. Ryan Leaf did it in 1998 and it was the lowest total since.
