Big Daddy Weave's Jay Weaver passed away from COVID-19.
His brother and fellow band member, Mike, shared the sad news in a message. I am excited to celebrate where he is right now, but I am sorry to bring this news. My brother Jay went to be with Jesus.
Jay had a history of health problems and was a bass player and vocalist in a Christian band. He lost his feet in the hospital in 2016 to fight an illness.

Mike thanked everyone for their prayers and support for his late brother, who battled with health issues.
He said that Jesus was right there to catch him even though he took his last breath.
Big Daddy Weave dropped their first album in 2001 and went on to tour with hits in the Christian music scene.
Mike talked about how the Lord used his brother to go out on the road for a long time.
It was.
He says their family will deal with the pain, but they are turning to their faith to celebrate Jay. Now that Jay is in God's presence, the prayers of healing can turn into prayers of thanksgiving.
Jay was 42 years old.
I am sad.
