James Laurinaitis joins Notre Dame Fighting Irish in support staff role

James Laurinaitis is a former Ohio State and NFL player.

On his radio show, which he co-hosted, he announced that he was moving to Notre Dame. According to a source, the Notre Dame staff is likely to have a former football player on their team in the analyst role.

He said that he will start his new job in January because of his best friend getting the head-coaching job.

He had been considering entering coaching for a long time.

At Ohio State, he was a three-time All-America and the winner of the Nagurski Award. Two-time Big Ten defensive player of the year, Laurinaitis started with Freeman in 2007, and they started with each other in 2008.

The New Orleans Saints signed the second-round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams, James Laurinaitis, to a one-year contract. He had a career that included 869 tackles, 16 sacks, 10 interceptions, and nine fumble recoveries.

He was an analyst for the Big Ten Network.
