Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that the Brooklyn Nets are preparing for the debut of Irving in the NBA.

Irving hasn't played all season because the Nets didn't allow him to play because of New York City's vaccine mandate.

Irving was allowed to participate in road games last month after the Nets reversed course due to a variety of injuries and issues. The Nets had three games postponed because of the health and safety protocols.

The point guard said last week that he respected the initial decision of the Nets.

I had to think about what they were going to do and not get emotionally attached to it. He said that he had to evaluate things from the perspective of his teammates. I empathised with their decision to say that if you are not fully vaccine free, then you can't be a full participant.

Last month, Irving went into the protocols himself before clearing them.
