CES 2022: Eve Launches HomeKit-Compatible Outdoor Cam and MotionBlinds

The Eve MotionBlinds and the Eve outdoor cam are the first HomeKit-enabled products from Eve Systems.

HomeKit secure video is compatible with the Eve outdoor cam, which has 10 days of storage available with an Apple subscription, which is priced at $0.99 per month. HomeKit secure video gives the Eve outdoor cam a privacy focused and fully secured access, regardless of whether you view the camera footage locally or remotely using a home hub.

The light component of the Eve outdoor cam has an opaque white glass that is resistant to water and dust. It can be mounted to the wall with a three-axis hinge and has a camera with a 157 degree field of view. Two-way communication is supported by the built-in microphone and speaker.

When motion is detected, users can receive notifications and HomeKit can detect people, animals, vehicles, and package deliveries.

The Eve MotionBlinds are in partnership with window coverings company Coulisse. MotionBlinds are HomeKit- connected roller shades that are easy to setup and have better responsiveness and reliability than other smart blind solutions.

The MotionBlinds have a battery powered motor and support on-device schedules for precise control over positioning throughout the day. Eve says that the MotionBlinds use direct communication without cloud dependency for privacy purposes, with all data stored on the blinds themselves.

The MotionBlinds have a manual control feature and are able to be lowered with a simple pull.

The outdoor cam will be available on April 5, 2022, from Eve and Amazon. It will be priced at $242.95. The Eve Blind Motions are available from Coulisse and the Eve website.
