Apple Engineers Celebrate End of First Year of Apple Silicon Transition With Special T-Shirt

An Apple engineer shared a picture on his account of a gift that Apple is giving engineers and staffers who worked on the M1 chip.

An image of a special t-shirt with the M1 chip and its accompanying glow, and a card from Apple, was posted by Andy Boretto, who works at Apple as a senior software engineer. Thanks for helping make Apple M1 possible!

Boretto said that he is proud to have worked on Apple's transition to Intel and Apple Silicon and that December 31, 2021, was the last day of the year special delivery.

In November of 2020, Apple released the first Apple chip, M1, after announcing its transition to Apple Silicon in June 2020. The transition will take two years, according to Apple. The company introduced the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips in October, the first high-end chips designed for the Mac.

A new MacBook Air with M2, a larger iMac, and a high-end Mac mini are expected to be released by Apple.
