Antonio Brown decided to not return to the game against the New York Jets because he felt he was too injured.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Brown refused to return to the game after arguing with the offensive staff over his health.

Rapoport said that he was not going into the game because he didn't feel good. The offensive coaches told the players that if they weren't going into the game, they wouldn't be here. They cut him from the team at that point.

Brown stripped off his uniform on the sideline, tossed his undershirt into the crowd, and then walked to the locker room as the Jets and Bucs were about to play. Brown's tenure was fraught with controversy since he arrived in the city.
After the game, he told reporters that he was no longer a member of the team. That's the end of the story.

The situation was a shame, and he feels bad for Brown, who can't help himself, according to Peter King of NBC Sports. Mike Evans tried to stop Brown before he went too far.

"He had a look in his eye that I haven't seen in a long time," he said.

The decision to bring in Brown ahead of the 2020 season was seen as controversial after the wideout was accused of rape, assault and robbed a delivery truck driver and had the police called to his home on several occasions in 2019. Brown was suspended for the first eight games of the 2020 season for violating the league's conduct policy.

He excelled as a part of the Super Bowl winning offense and was praised for keeping out of trouble. Brown was suspended for three games for faking his COVID-19 vaccination card. Brown was defended by the coach and the wideout blamed the media for the criticism.

Brown's attempts at obfuscation were always in bad faith, but it seems that his career in the NFL is over. After being a sixth-round pick in 2010, Brown became a seven-time Pro Bowler and a cautionary tale.
