Ghislaine Maxwell's husband told her in a prison phone call that he had 'moved on' with another woman, ending their secretive marriage: report

Sources told the Mail on Sunday that Ghislaine's marriage ended when she was in jail because her husband told her he had moved on with another woman.

Scott Borgerson came into the spotlight in 2020 after it was revealed that he was secretly married to Maxwell.

A person who was a friend of Maxwell's told the Mail that there was a phone call between them when she was in jail.

The person told the Mail that Borgerson told him he was seeing someone else. The person said that their marriage was over before the trial began.

The Mail was told that Borgerson didn't attend the trial.

A jury on Wednesday found him guilty on five of six sex trafficking charges, and he could face 65 years in prison.

The Mail reported that Borgerson was with another woman near his home in Massachusetts and that she was a yoga teacher and a writer.

The friend of the couple told the Mail that they hope the marriage can be solved quickly.

Borgerson personally offered millions of dollars to secure her release on bail, after he called her a " wonderful and loving person" in a letter.

In an interview with Insider in October, Ian Maxwell said that his family was surprised to find out that she was married to Borgerson. He didn't know if Borgerson and Maxwell were still together.
