Nathan has started six games for Rangers.

A deal to sign Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson would be a record fee for the club.

The 20-year-old was moved by the manager in the summer.

Steven Gerrard said that the Scotland international would not be sold.

Talks have resumed and they are hopeful that they will be able to find a long-term successor to Coleman.

Mykolenko is a defender forEverton.

The youngster is highly regarded at Ibrox but has struggled for game time under the leadership of Giovanni van Bronckhorst and James Tavernier.

In November, he scored his first Scotland goal in the victory against Moldova. He has six international caps.

He would be the second signing of the January transfer window for the Goodison Park club, as they look to strengthen their defence after Sunday's loss to Brighton left them in 15th place in the league.

The deal for Vitaliy Mykolenko is believed to be worth up to £17m, including add-ons, and he has signed a four-year contract with the club.

In 2008 Alan Hutton was sold by Rangers to Spurs for around £9m.
