Romelu Lukaku told Sky Italy that he would like to return to Italy at some point in his career, and that he was unhappy with the way Tuchel was running the team.
Tuchel wouldn't say what he would say to the Belgian in Monday's meeting or if he would be in the squad for the Carabao Cup semifinal first leg against Spurs.
"I can't tell you what I want from the meeting that is happening behind closed doors tomorrow," Tuchel said. I will not speak out publicly.
The German said that the team needed to concentrate on the game against the Reds.
The noise was too loud. We took the decision to delay the decision because of the noise.
The coach said that deferral of the discussion would protect Romelu from a rash decision.
"We need to speak to him, we need to read the full interview, and not lose our head," Tuchel said. He is our player and will stay that way. We will protect our player.
We need to evaluate the situation and not listen to the media but understand what he said, why he said it and this is the meeting tomorrow. We will make a decision from there.
Tuchel said that Sunday's draw with the Reds had been a great game of football and that his side had been unlucky to be two goals down.
He said coming back from 2-0 was immense.
The draw meant that second-place Chelsea remained one point behind third-placeLiverpool, who have a game in hand. Manchester City have 53 points.
