The number of vehicles delivered by the company increased by 87 percent in the year of 2021, according to a report from the company.

The company delivered more cars in the last quarter of the year than in the third quarter. The Model 3 and Y made up the majority of deliveries throughout the year, with 912,172 shipments.

Although it didn't hit one million shipments, it has still surpassed its annual growth goal. In November, an internal memo revealed that Musk told his employees to stop rushing to make deliveries by the end of the quarter and to instead focus on cutting costs.

The chip shortage has caused a number of car manufacturers to pump their brakes. In February of last year, the company had to temporarily shut down production at its California plant due to a shortage of cars. Some customers reported that their vehicles were missing some of theusb ports.

In October, the value of the company exceeded $1 trillion, despite all this. The company had its most profitable quarter ever in the third quarter of 2021, but that may change because earnings for the final quarter of the year have not been released.
