Former FDA commissioner says schools should not mandate boosters for children

Scott Gottlieb, the former FDA Commissioner, said on Sunday that he doesn't believe schools should require booster shots.
I don't think schools should mandating boosters. Gottlieb said in an interview on CBS's "Face the Nation" that this should be left to the discretion of parents and their doctors.

The risk that the child is facing will depend on the individual circumstances. Are they more likely to come in contact with the infection in a setting where they are more familiar with it? Do they have underlying health conditions that put them at increased risk of bad outcomes? Gottlieb continued.
