According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Kellen Moore will have a virtual interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, former Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson has already interviewed with Jacksonville and Todd Bowles is scheduled to interview next week.
The Cowboys did not want to meet with the team before the season ended, despite the Jaguars requesting an interview, according to Adam.
Moore will take advantage of the new rule that allows teams with vacancies to interview current assistants in the final two weeks of the season. Urban Meyer was fired as the head coach of the Jaguars after he went 2-11 in his first year.
For the fourth year in a row, the Jaguars have finished last in their division. Since 2007, the squad has only made the playoffs once and needs significant help to turn things around.
Even with his struggles as a first round pick, Jacksonville still has a high-upside quarterback in 2021.
Moore has an impressive offensive mind and was a former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys enter Week 17 with the top offense in both points scored and total yards, coming off a 56-point effort against the Washington Football Team.
In Moore's first season as offensive coordinator, the Cowboys were the top-ranked team in the league in yards, but they dropped to 14th in 2020 despite losing starting quarterback Dak Prescott to a leg injury in Week 5.
Moore will get a lot of head coaching looks this year.
