The Odyssey Neo curved gaming monitor has a smaller version. The Odyssey Neo G8 has the same 1000R curvature as the 49-inch Odyssey Neo G9. The R stands for radius and, compared to 1800R and 1500R curvature, which are both common in the monitor market, the 1000R curvature is far more curvy. It makes 1800R look like a flat panel. The G8 has 2,000 nits of peak brightness and promises brilliant picture quality with its mini-LED panel.
The Odyssey Neo G8 will be available in a few images and details, but no price or release date has been given. The Odyssey Neo G8 has a similar design language to the G9 but the key difference is that the G8 increases the resolution from QHD to 4K. This is the first 4K monitor to support a 1ms response time. It is compatible with both the G-sync adaptive sync tech from Nvidia and the FreeSync Premium Pro from the AMD.
