Premium Economy and Economy are the three travel classes offered by the Italian national airline. The Superior Class was a service that existed in Alitalia but was eliminated. Superior Class will be available on some domestic flights after Jan. 10.

The Skypriority counter at the Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, and Turin airports will be used by the Superior Class passengers to check-in and check two pieces of luggage for free.

Customers will have a reserved cabin and a guarantee of always having a free seat next to them, as well as a dedicated and differentiated Catering service according to the time of day.

The Superior Class ticket is more expensive than the Economy Class, but it has more advantages. The lounges at the airport are still inactive, and the waiting rooms in Milan and Rome are closed.

The first aircraft with the new livery is already operational, but the interior of the cabin is still branded with the logo of Alitalia.

The airline is trying to put its best foot forward. 100,000 courtesy FFP2 masks have been made available for those who board with surgical or unauthorized masks for air travel. This is a sign of the customer-first strategy.

The air on the aircraft is not only renewed every 3 minutes but is 99.7% pure, as in a cleanroom, according to the press release.

The results for the year 2022, are expected to be strong. The airline carried more than one million passengers in its first few days of operation, exceeding the target set by the chairman. The carrier brought in an estimated 74 million euros in revenue in the period from October 15 to December 31.

The president expects the airline to hire at least 1,000 people in the next few years and surpass 13 million travelers. The fleet will reach 84 aircraft next year with the addition of new aircraft.
