Luka Doncic is expected to rejoin the team before Sunday's game in Oklahoma City after clearing the NBA's health and safety protocols.

The protocols have been cleared by Tim Hardaway Jr. and Maxi Kleber.

None of the three players were listed on the injury report.

Doncic has not played since he injured his ankle in a loss to the Pacers. He missed the next five games after testing positive for Covid-19, but was expected to return against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Hardaway and Kleber, two of the Mavs' top reserves, have not played in the past six games. The Mavs went 5-5 during Doncic's absence, despite a total of 10 Dallas players entering the league's protocols, including two players on 10-day hardship deals. During the period, the point guard who was filling in for Doncic averaged 21.0 points and 7.4 assists per game.
