Notre Dame secured a commitment from an athlete on Saturday, giving the Irish eight commitments ranked in the top 300, the most of any college football program.
After Brian Kelly left for LSU, Notre Dame saw a few decommitments in the 2022, but there has been no drop-off in the 2023 class.
The No. 2 safety in the class is the No. 50 prospect. He chose the Irish over Alabama, Oklahoma and USC.
Three recruits are ranked in the top 50 in the Junior 300, including Drayk Bowen, who is the 43rd ranked prospect.
Despite the coaching change with Kelly leaving so close to the early signing period, the staff was able to keep most of the class intact.
