The South Korean manufacturer held onto its position as the world's largest phone manufacturer in the year. Over the last two years, sales of the GALAXY A series have increased.
The Z fold 3 and Z flip 3 are just as reliable in day-to-day use as the S21 series, and they even include water resistance.
The things are going well on the wrist. The Wear OS 3 platform made its debut on the watch series after being integrated into Wear OS. The brand needs to fix its issues as we head into the year 2022, but it isn't without its share of issues.
The foldables are creaseless.

The Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 were double the amount of foldables that were released this year. Both devices had similar internal hardware as the S21 siblings.
I have been using the Z Fold 3 for nearly four months. It's a huge achievement that the foldables can hold up to daily wear and tear.
The foldables segment will see a lot of Chinese manufacturers in the next few years. The Z Fold 3 has a crease in the middle, but the Find N has a fold-out design with no crease.
The crease in the foldables needs to be removed. foldables will inevitably push costs down, and we will start seeing that next year, as I've maintained that Chinese manufacturers will catalyze foldables. It shouldn't be a problem for the company to maintain its lead because it is the only manufacturer that sells foldables in North America.
Make a budget phone that is good.

The S21 series is the best of the bunch, and it has been around for nearly a year. The mid-range category is one area that has been turned around in recent years, with the Galaxy A52 5G delivering a great overall package.
When it comes to budget phones, it's not a good thing for the Korean company. It's not because of not trying. The A03, A13, and even the A32 are all under $250. The devices are part of the A series. The strategy that it followed with the J series is the same one that it uses with the new models, where they don't differ from their predecessors in any meaningful way.
This needs to change if the company wants to maintain its market share in key global markets.
The situation in the U.K. and other western markets is the same as it was in India. Four years ago, the country's number one company,Xiaomi, overtook the country's number two company,Samsung. With the majority of sales in India being sub-$300 devices, there wasn't anything in the J series to challenge the Redmi Note portfolio.
In order to improve its reputation, the company has changed its strategy, releasing better models in Asian countries than its A models. It now needs to do the same in order to retain its title as the world's largest phone manufacturer.
It should deliver faster updates to its phones.

When it comes to software updates, the brand now guarantees three platform updates and four years of security updates for its mid-range and flagship devices. It's great that the phones get security updates at the same time as the other phones.
There is a lot to like in the OneUI 4 stable update, which is currently making its way to the S21 portfolio. The budget phones and the low-end ones don't get as many updates as the high-end ones.
The switch to OneUI 4 won't be possible for the new models of the M and A until Q2 2022. The brand doesn't give the same amount of attention to its budget phones as it does to its foldables and S devices, but if there's anyone with the resources to deliver long-term updates to all of the devices in its portfolio, it is the brand.
The budget offerings of the other companies don't have the edge for the hardware in this category, so a good way to differentiate is to deliver more software updates. When you consider that most sub-$300 phones get just one platform update, it makes sense for the company to give three platform updates to its budget phones.
Introduce a small device with high-end hardware.

The iPad Air is the best choice for a tablet in 2021. The reason for the plateauing of the Android tablet segment is due to the fact that it hasn't done enough to scale.
The only manufacturer that still releases high-end tablets at a regular cadence is the only one that makes the best tablets. This situation should change in the coming months as the new version of the phone is released.
The hardware side of things requires a smaller tablet with high-end hardware. The brand does a great job with large tablets in the Tab S and Tab A series, but it hasn't released a smaller model with powerful internals in a while. The screen size of the A7 Tab lite was close, but the hardware was not very good, and it was aimed at the budget category.
The iPad mini has a screen size under 9 inches, which is small for a tablet, and it offers the latest hardware. With the imminent release of the next iteration of the operating system, now is the ideal time for the company to redouble its efforts here.
Quality control issues can be fixed with earbuds and Wearables.
The source of the information is the Android Central.
There is a wave of initial sales that can be attributed to the fact that the Wear OS 3 is exclusive to theGalaxy Watch 4 series. While the smartwatches have a lot to offer, they aren't without their issues; a recent update made theGalaxy Watch 4 series unusable on non-samsung phones, and the company hasn't done much to fix the issue or even acknowledge it.
This isn't new for the brand; they tend to be obstinate at times when acknowledging hardware or software issues, and this needs to change. The problem with the watch series has led to users finding their own solutions, which is not a good look for the world's largest phone manufacturer.
The first issue of the year is the debacle with the watch. Chris Wedel highlighted how the materials used in the Buds caused ear infections. It took over a month for the company to acknowledge that there was an issue with the earbuds.
No brand wants to admit that they messed up, but they need to lead by example because of their position in the industry. It needs to do a better job of acknowledging its issues and apologizing.
