Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool boss misses Premier League game at Chelsea due to suspected positive Covid-19 test

A suspected positive Covid-19 test has been reported by the manager of the team.

The person was experiencing mild symptoms. His assistant will be in charge of the trip.

Three other members of staff at the club tested positive, but the manager refused to name the trio as they were awaiting test results.

The game between the two teams is not expected to be postponed at this time.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Klopp said he will not look back fondly on 2021, but he did send a birthday message to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The club said in a statement that "Jurgen Klopp will miss the game against the Blues after returning a suspected positive test result."

The Reds manager, who had mild symptoms before the game, is isolating.
