Vietnam celebrates national day at Expo 2020

Vietnam marked its national day with a cultural performance from top artists, including a rendition of the UNESCO-recognized song 'Quan ho son in Bac Ninh' at Al Wasl during the official ceremony.

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, assistant minister of foreign affairs of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Ta Quang Dong, Vietnam deputy minister of culture, sports and tourism.

The whole world is experiencing an unprecedented challenging and difficult period of time in history due to the profound and multi-dimensional impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

192 countries gather in person once again to showcase their achievements, latest advancements, connect and work together for the future, as one of the first events of its kind.

The theme of the expo 2020 is about the reality of the world where no single country can solve the challenges we are facing but requires the solidarity of all countries in the world.

Vietnam wants to promote the power of cultural values and the creativity of its people to make practical and effective contributions to the implementation of the sustainable development goals, as well as join hands with international friends to address the challenges the humanity is facing.

The Eternal Flow will be a grand fashion show that will feature traditional dance performances and exciting circus acts, and will be held at Al Wasl Plaza.

Three fashion designers from Vietnam and international will show the beauty of traditional brocade with unique collections.

Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies and the third largest market in south-east Asia, according to Al Shamsi.

Vietnam has joined other change-makers at the expo to explore the key to creating a better future for everyone, and to promote its vision of 2035.

The relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam has been built on a strong foundation and has resulted in a wide range of cooperation.

We are interested in exploring new areas for further engagement between our two nations as a result of Vietnam's presence at the expo.

A projection show called the Legend of Lac Long Quan & Au Co will be beamed across Al Wasl Plaza, telling the tale of a dragon and fairy couple, whose children had become the ancestors of Vietnamese people.

The trade turnover between Vietnam and the U.S. is US$ 6.5 billion, and this is a very promising number that we will see increase through future cooperation.

Vietnam is a great place to invest because we have some of the best infrastructure, and the government has adapted laws and policies on trading so that we can create a favorable environment for foreign investors.
