Woman self-quarantines in plane toilet for five hours after testing positive for Covid mid-flight

Positive passenger self-isolating in toilet.

A female passenger on a flight tested positive for Covid and spent nearly five hours in a plane toilet.

A quick Covid test showed that the throat pain that Michigan-based teacher Marisa Fotieo had on the Chicago to Reykjavik flight was positive.

Fotieo told NBC News that he took his rapid test in the bathroom and there were two lines indicating a positive test.

She said that her biggest fear was giving it to the 150 people on the flight.

Fotieo quickly told the flight attendants that there were not enough empty rows in the cabin to make it to social distance.

She posted a video on TikTok to a song called "I'm So Lucky."

She captioned the video with #luxuryliving and #imsolucky.

The early childhood teacher was forced to stay in Reykjavik after arriving and will not make it to her final destination of Switzerland before she returns to Michigan.

I Shout out toIcelandair for my VIP quarantine.
